2017

Continuing John’s legacy of compassion and generosity, the Foundation was honored to provide support to several families and individuals in 2017.

  • Donated to a family in Butler with six children who lost their home and all of their belongings just before the holidays, helping bring relief during a heartbreaking time.

  • Contributed to Jacob Lavrich’s Eagle Scout Project to renovate the Deer Creek Preschool playground, creating a safer, more enjoyable space for the children. A special thank you to Colleen Zaremski for placing a bench in memory of John — a touching tribute that we know would make him smile.

  • Helped a grieving family by assisting with funeral expenses for a loved one.

  • Donated to a woman diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma), supporting her as she pursued alternative treatments beyond traditional chemotherapy and radiation. She continues to fight for her life with the love of her husband and three children by her side.

  • Provided assistance to a gentleman living with muscular dystrophy, helping him access a wheelchair, a new van, and necessary home modifications to improve his daily quality of life.

  • Contributed to a fundraiser for a five-year-old boy with Down syndrome and autism, helping him receive a specially trained Labrador service dog that can recognize and respond to his unique needs.
